Established in 2006, Promote Uganda is one of the pioneers of Uganda’s Tourism and Investment promotion abroad through the use of Plasma/LED Screens located in Uganda’s Embassies across the World. This followed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005. The firm was purposely established to respond/address gaps in the public information generation and dissemination in Uganda’s Missions abroad through the establishment of an information communication system. The system is intended to serve as an efficient alternative vehicle for sending information down to the people across the World who plan to visit Uganda. Promote Uganda Limited has to date produced over 15 documentaries focusing on different sectors of the economy in order to promote the country's tourism, investment prospects and export potential to the international markets.

Our competence in script writing combined with visual illustration through films and documentaries is well known across the World. Promote Uganda Limited has invested in acquiring the relevant assets and infrastructure across the World giving it a comparative advantage in mass media communication.
As a result of the high quality videos produced for the missions abroad, Promote Uganda has succeeded in expanding its clientele to other organizations that require the production of high quality audio–vision content. These include the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning that contracted Promote Uganda to record documentaries on budget for the financial years 2006/07 all through to 2022 /2023 as well as a live recording of the actual reading of Uganda’s Budget speeches. Other institutions have also engaged Promote Uganda to record documentaries for them such as a documentary the Uganda Energy Credit Capitalization Company (UECCC) in 2015 and in 2016, they produced Bank of Uganda’s documentary for their 50 th Anniversary, Ministry of Agriculture, Parliament of Uganda, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Uganda Tourism Board, Promote Uganda's productions impressed international bodies like UNSOM, UNSOS, and AMISOM in Somalia providing information support.
As part of its competencies Promote Uganda carries out consultancies in Public Expenditure Tracking Systems (PETS) for a conglomerate of international agencies and Business Advisory Services specifically research oriented. We also export Uganda’s Art and Craft.

The company is a key provider of multi-media consultancy services to our clients who include; Africa Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), United Nations Office in Somalia (UNSOS) and United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM). The information support Promote Uganda offers as part of a consortium has helped to reach out to complex audiences within and outside the country.
Promote Uganda regularly provides her services to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Government statutory agencies and diplomatic missions. The content developed showcases Uganda’s beauty and investment opportunities serving as a useful guide to potential investors and tourists to the country.
